In case hunger strikes

Food festivals are always a must for la live events with the variety of food stands, different cultures, flavors and things to do, which most of them are free to attend.

Westwood hosts a monthly vegan street fair and is free for everyone to attend. Another Vegan related festival is Vegandale, which usually takes place mid October, but is pending for 2026.

A large chunk of food festivals are of course family friendly, and the most well known is 626 night market in Arcadia.

It will be located in Santa Anita Park on the weekend of August 14th through the 16th, which one can expect a massive outdoor food festival with about 250 food merchants and vendors. Make sure to go with a full wallet and an empty stomach, maybe some peptobismol as well.

Other notable food festivals are L.A. Times Food Bowl, usually held in October Paramount Pictures Backlot. Tickets are limited and go quick for it, so make snag one before they are gone.

Foodieland Night Market at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, inspired by asian night markets. One can expect live music, games, and possibly a drown show. Like 626 night market, Foodieland Night Market offers about 250 food merchants and over 2,000 varieties of foods, artisan crafts, and drinks.

Can't forget about the beaches

Los Angeles is home to the best beaches in California. Although they don't really have any planned live events to attend, sometimes people catch some random or hidden live music or live events located nearby.

Sometimes hidden on rooftop restaurants, the piers, might even catch a film or Television production filming, or even music videos. Most notably both Venice Beach and Santa Monica were locations that the film Barbie used.

Driving down the scenic Pacific Coast Highway route is a must to catch the fresh breeze of the ocean air.

Overall, whether you live in Los Angeles or are visiting for the weekend with some friends, there will always be something to do from the morning all the way to midnight.

The itinerary will be a fully booked schedule of la live events with the correct planning. So start filling up that schedule before the summer ends.
